"Oh!" McGee opened his eyes briefly with his flash of some sort of inspiration, and nodded, "Right, of course." And he took a step closer to the bed, and leaned forward and down, his eyes closed again.
This had me absolutely in stitches. :D
And I think even though there is little explanation given for Tony's or McGee's possible feelings, this works really well. Their voices sound just right, there are no meldodramatic declarations of love and McGee's thoughts on Tony are absolutely spot on without making Tony into some weak little thing that has to be protected from self-destruction. Very well done! :)
